A 55-year-old police sergeant was found dead with a gunshot wound at the Ruwanweliseya Police post in Anuradhapura.
Police said the sergeant, a resident of Anuradhapura, was on duty at the time of the incident last night.
Investigations are underway to ascertain whether the sergeant’s death was a result of suicide or foul play.
