The stretch of road at Pahala Kadugannawa along the Colombo-Kandy road is now open for traffic once again.
However, the Disaster Management Center (DMC) has advised motorists to exercise caution while driving in the area, as conditions may still be hazardous.
A section of the Colombo-Kandy main road had been closed for traffic at Pahala Kadugannawa from 7.30 p.m. last night to 6.00 a.m. today (09).
Meanwhile, the Kegalle District Secretary had announced on Friday that the Colombo–Kandy main road will be intermittently closed near the Pahala Kadugannawa area on Saturday (08) to remove unstable rocks and tree branches along this section of the road.
