Train strike has been canceled by the Sri Lanka Railways Locomotive Operating Engineers’ Union after talks with the Transport Minister.

Services will resume to normal by tomorrow morning, though there may be a few cancellations this evening.

The strike, initiated last Friday over issues such as delays in locomotive driver promotions and recruitment, comes to an end. Both the locomotive engineers and the General Manager of Railways are informed about the evening service adjustments.
