Sri Lankans need to prepare to learn about new technologies like nanotechnology, biotechnology, information technology (IT), and artificial intelligence (AI), which are the most important fields globally. However, Sri Lankans are about 15 years behind other countries in this preparation, said Education Minister Susil Premajayantha.

The Minister made this comment during the launch of AI-related student clubs (AI Clubs) in 100 schools, selected by the Education Ministry and the Technology Ministry, at Temple Trees today.

AI technology can bring transformational change in all fields of the twenty-first century, and it is crucial for our country to address this issue, the Minister stated.
