Model Piumi Hansamali clarified on her official Facebook page that she sold her vehicle a year ago and doesn’t understand the current situation.
“The buyers only paid me half the full amount, and the vehicle is still registered in my name. I have not transported drugs using my vehicle, nor was it involved in any drug raids. I am 1000 percent sure of this,” Hansamali stated.
“It was a relief to sell the vehicle, especially after learning about the buyer’s background. Despite this, I still face trouble because the vehicle was once used by former President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.
“The CID won’t leave me in peace. This has been the worst karma, and I’ve lost my mental freedom.
“The vehicle was bought under the name of the arrested person’s wife, who was an old friend. I trusted them to pay the rest later. That’s just how I am. Those who know me understand this. They gave me Rs. 5 million twice. That’s the truth,” Hansamali explained.
“This is a scheme to frame me for a drug-related crime I had no involvement in. This will bring a curse upon those trying to drag me into this. I’ll curse you all,” she added.
