Sri Lanka is preparing to host a major international music event with a concert featuring global superstar Ed Sheeran planned for January 2025.
The announcement was made by Minister of Tourism Harin Fernando during a press briefing in Colombo on Monday.
Fernando revealed, “Recently, a company has expressed interest in bringing Ed Sheeran, one of the key singers, to Sri Lanka in January or February.” He identified Cinnamon Life as the firm leading the efforts to bring the renowned artist to the island nation.
If realized, this concert would mark the return of a high-profile international pop star performance to Sri Lanka after a significant hiatus.
